CONSTITUTION OF LIMBOLIA
We, the people of Limbolia, in order to ensure the unity, stability, and prosperity of our nation, do hereby establish this Constitution.
ARTICLE 1: THE HEAD OF STATE
1. The Head of State shall be the President of Limbolia, who shall serve until their death or incapacitation.
2. The President shall be the unifying figure of the nation, responsible for ensuring the continuity and stability of Limbolia.
3. The President shall have near-full powers, subject to the limitations set forth in this Constitution.
4. The President has no right to choose what parties and politicians get elected.
ARTICLE 2: THE LEGISLATURE
1. The Legislature shall consist of two chambers: the Senate and the Limbolian Council.
2. The Senate shall have 2 members, elected by proportional representation for a term of 1 year.
3. The Limbolian Council shall have 5 members, elected by direct popular vote for a term of 1 year.
4. The Legislature shall have the power to make laws, subject to the approval of the President.
ARTICLE 3: THE EXECUTIVE
1. The President shall be the chief executive of Limbolia, responsible for implementing laws and policies.
2. The President shall appoint ministers and officials, subject to approval by the Legislature.
3. The President shall have the power to veto laws passed by the Legislature, subject to override by a two-thirds majority in both chambers.
ARTICLE 4: ELECTIONS
1. Elections shall be held yearly for representatives to the Senate and the Limbolian Council.
2. Electoral procedures and voting systems shall be determined by law.
ARTICLE 5: HUMAN RIGHTS
1. All individuals within Limbolia are entitled to human rights, including but not limited to:
* Freedom of speech
* Freedom of assembly
* Freedom of religion
* Right to personal liberty
2. Mechanisms shall be established to protect these rights.
ARTICLE 6: SOCIAL WELFARE
1. Limbolia shall provide social services, including but not limited to:
* Healthcare
* Education
* Housing
2. Responsibility for ensuring social welfare shall be shared among government, civil society, and individuals.
ARTICLE 7: AMENDMENTS
1. This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority in both chambers of the Legislature.
2. Amendments may also be proposed through a national referendum, as determined by law.
ARTICLE 8: FINAL PROVISIONS
1. This Constitution is supreme law in Limbolia.
2. Disputes arising from this Constitution shall be resolved through established mechanisms.
