The Republic of Limbolia was established on the 20th of March, therefor the Council of Limbol originally decided that the 20th of March was the perfect date for every year's election to be held, but the Buddhist Democratic party changed that by starting a vote on if they should just start the elections right away, therefor the elections are now held every year on the 26th of February. Political Parties usually start to advertise their campaign on the 1st of February, just as the Parliament starts to get ready for the election. The first elections started on the 20th of March 2022, with the victory of the Communist Party of Limbolia. The second elections were held on the 25th of February 2024 with the victory of the Buddhist Democratic Party.
